Promote You Blog With Business Cards
Too often bloggers forget that they can promote themselves in the offline world. When I first started MMO Explorer, I focused entirely on attracting online readers. This is a huge mistake. Think about how many people you come in contact with in a given month. There is no reason why they would be any less likely to enjoy your blog than people you meet online. In fact, I would argue that it is easier to market your blog offline.
For a site like MMO Explorer, whenever I meet people interested in gaming, I make sure to tell them about my blog. This is a great way to gain readers. there is still more of a personal connection when you know someone in the 3D world. Another great way to market your blog offline is to have business cards created. I have found a great deal on free custom business cards. You will be surprised at how this can really help you to gain readers.

April 28th, 2008 at 10:53 amI so totally agree… a good chunk of my readers are from offline and they are my more active ones. I think that viral marketing is the wave of the future, forget Google– go out and tell some people about your site.

May 3rd, 2008 at 6:52 pmIt is a good habit to put your URL & email on every correspondence and piece of paper you can. Business cards, newspaper ads, letters, etc. It is your brand!

May 7th, 2008 at 6:44 amI think this site has great content, but needs a makeover. The theme/layout don’t really fit with the niche that you write about. I’d like to see you have a catchy graphic/logo at the top to show first-time visitors that this isn’t just another boring wordpress blog.
Just my 2 cents. Feel free to discard or utilize.

July 12th, 2008 at 1:27 amHaving business cards is something which someone should has. It is difficult to design blogger cards. I was visiting another blog and I came to know about MOO Cards. I think they are pretty cool enough to express blogger’s blog.

July 29th, 2008 at 1:39 ambush, There is nothing crazy about having cards. I think it is just like an identity so why don’t you like to have your identity?

September 24th, 2008 at 3:43 pmSome people don’t want their identity known for one reason or another; many times its paranoia or guilt
Other times its just good natured secrecy and privacy. -

October 28th, 2008 at 8:51 amThat’s a fantastic idea, and such a simple idea too. I guess many of us are guilty of thinking that since the internet the offline world has little or no relevance, when in reality, networking face to face is still a very powerful way of promoting your business.
