Hi. We have 3 dogs: 2 huge Leonbergs and a very lively Border Collie. When on a walk, the young Leonberg and the Collie sometimes run into the woods after game. In such moments they don’t stop on our command, whereas otherwise they are quite obedient and come back when we want them to. We’ld like to find electronic collars for both of them and we’ld like to know what devices are efficient and humane + long distance, min. 300m.

If your dog is outside a lot of the time, you'd be better off getting a PetSafe electric dog fence than a shock collar since its primary purpose is to keep it from going where it shouldn't, as opposed to training. You really only need a shock collar when you're trying to teach the dog something specific.

Dog shock collars are not that popular here at our country. I think only the rich people have them. Not much people use it here anyway. I am just concerned if the dog will suffer any effects when using the electric shock collar…
