Pirates of the Burning Seas Open Beta Begins
Flying Labs Software has finally dropped the Pirates of the Burning Seas NDA and is beginning the open beta. I am really anxious to play this game.
P0tsh0t and Keen and Graev's have written two great previews of Pirates of the Burning Sea. Here are some of the highlights from those previews.
- Everything seems to be instanced in PotBS. Each building, town and battle is instanced.
- Traveling on the open seas takes a lot of time. I am glad about this. I just hope that there is stuff to do when you are sailing on the open seas.
- Ship combat seems like it is going to be like Microprose's Pirates. I can't wait for ship-to-ship PVP.
- The leveling curve is said to be pretty fast. I like this especially for a PVP centric game. If you want to PVP, allow players to max level and PVP.
